I am having a problem loading any fonts here is the error:

Warning: Unable to load any useable ISO8859-1 font
X Error of failed request: BadFont (invalid Font parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 55 (X_CreateGC)
Resource id in failed request: 0x1800018
Serial number of failed request: 43
Current serial number in output stream: 55

Here is the output from xset q:

Keyboard Control:
auto repeat: on key click percent: 0 LED mask: 00000000
  auto repeating keys: ffffffffffffffff
                        ffffffffffffffff
                        ffffffffffffffff
                        ffffffffffffffff
bell percent: 50 bell pitch: 400 bell duration: 100
Pointer Control:
  acceleration: 2/1 threshold: 4
Screen Saver:
prefer blanking: yes allow exposures: yes
  timeout: 600 cycle: 300
Colors:
  default colormap: 0x21 BlackPixel: 1 WhitePixel: 0
Font Path:
  /usr/lib/X11/fonts/100dpi/,/usr/lib/X11/fonts/misc/,/romfont/

and xlsfonts returns a whole *hitload of fonts, so I am stumped.

I am running X11R4 on a Sequent S3 and an NCR Towerview, with and X11R4
server. Can anyone help??
