On several occasions, I have had a need to identify what process(es) is/are accessing specific (possibly rm'd) files. I can get some information thru 'pstat -i', but not enough to generate PIDs. I think I'll need to write a program to read the process table in the kernel, but I need some info/doc. Anyone have any similar experiences? Can anyone offer any documentation (or does anyone know of any)? Of course, if you know of a simpler way of finding what PIDs are accessing what files, I'm all ears! I understand Dynix PTX has *something* like this; unfortunately we're talking Dynix 3 in this case! I thank you all... SGou Steve Goudreau MIS Tech Support Voice: (617) 275-9200 x8103 Millipore Corp.
