Dynix 2.1.1 manual for writing device drivers

Anyone got a spare "Writing Device Drivers" manual for Dynix 2.1.1 (or any
Dynix 2.*)? The one we have is for Dynix 1.5 or something and is not quite
up to date (not to mention the fact that it is missing lots of stuff).

Our machine is a Sequent Balance 8000 (12 processors, 10MB RAM) running
Dynix 2.1.1.

Ah, and please don't tell me to upgrade - being a students computer
society/club we sure can't afford to pay the kind of money Sequent would
want for a new SCED board with Dynix 3 - we've tried talking to them but
it seems to not have resulted in much. So I guess we'll have to fix the
buggy parts (Sequents "xpformat" program crashes when it is to test
the SMD disks -> no badspot table is ever written to the disk, and the
ethernet controller on the SCED card suffers from "hickups" (possible
due to the fast Sparcs on the local ethernet) by rewriting the Xy450
SMD disk controller device driver then perhaps write a device driver
for Sun's old ("ie") multibus ethernet controller card).

/Peter
