I am trying to set up the above mentioned and I have run into a small snag.
I already tried to RTFM, but could not find anonymous setup, so I set it up 
based on the ftpd man page.

220 mis486 FTP server (Version 4.33 Sat May 16 01:08:19 GMT 1992) ready.
Name (mis486:tucker): anonymous
331 Guest login ok, send ident as password.
Password:
230 Guest login ok, access restrictions apply.
ftp> ls
200 PORT command successful.
425 Can't open data endpoint /dev/tcp -1 8 Bad file number.
ftp> ls -al
425 Can't create data endpoint (0.0.0.0,20): Bad file number.
ftp> close

# ls -al *

Execute permission where I've put the arrow !!
Nothing is accessible to anybody but root below ~ftp because you
have removed execute permission on the top directory.
