DYNIX 3.2 kernel build fails - Make error

DYNIX people,

I have DYNIX 3.2 (with the old SVAE 3.1.x libraries) on my S81. When I now try
to build a new kernel, I get ...

# config SEQ1
Don't forget to run "make depend"
# cd ../SEQ1
# make depend
Bad character & (octal 46), line 64Make: . Stop.
#

Anybody any ideas what is going on? I hvaen't installed any weird or wonderful
device drivers. This is all bog standard stuff. All I want to do is raise
MAXUPROC.

If anybody can tell me how to poke that in the active kernel, that'll do as a
temp solution just now ;-)

Cheers,

--Rob.

OOPS!!!

Ofcourse, I should've been doing it under the Berekely universe. Spank my
bottom.

If anyone knows how to poke MAXUPROC in an active S81 DYNIX 3.2 kernel
then it'll save my users a day of hardship 8-)
