Hi everyone, I'd like to use lpd to drive a local Postscript printer off the parallel port of an Indigo, preferably filtering via the Transcript stuff that comes with the Irix laser printer support disc, since that's what we're running on our Suns. I've tried this in the past using an output filter I concocted myself, with marginal success.. It worked, but not reliably. Is anyone doing this, or am I better off sticking with lp? I'd like to be able to run lpd since that's what we're doing everywhere else. Any pointers/war stories/etc. would be appreciated. Oh yeah, this is vanilla Irix 4.0.5... I haven't gone to 4.0.5F yet.
