UNIX to Word Perfect Office e_mail

We are currently implementing a Laboratory Information Management
system, using Oracle, on an SGI 340. The application is to inform
users of data exception conditions using UNIX Mail. We have already
implemented an e-mail system using Word Perfect Office on a Novell
network and would prefer not to maintain parrallel systems. Is
anyone aware of a way to make UNIX e-mail talk to Word Perfect Office
e-mail and vice versa.

Yes there are two solutions that I know of:
Buy WP Office for Unix (I think this only runs on a SCO box), this
product has a built in SMTP gateway. And administer another WPO host.

Buy iGate, this is a comercial SMTP to WP Office gateway.
It is relativly easy to install and integrates well with WPO. It
requires a WPO Connection server (If you have more than one WPO host you
will be running this allready, plus a dedicated PC running the SMTP
   software.

For further information on iGate you can mail smart@actrix.gen.nz
