I've been following the instructions (I know bad idea) in the site
admin guide and in the new InSight version - and even reading the
man pages for named bit:
I Still can't get it to work...

the error i seem to be getting is along the lines of:

*** Can't find server name for address <__> : Server failed

Has anyone got named working on an SGI and how did thay do it??

thanks in advance

	Geoff.

Try `nslookup - 192.48.153.1` and then type "ls sgi.com" to see if
anyone has made `named` work in IRIX 4.0.5.

I sympathize with your frustration, but it is always wise to check the
too common "logic" of "I can't make it work, so it never worked." Weak
programmers tend to make an analogous mistake, "thinking" along the
lines of "I don't understand how it works, so it never worked, and so
it must be rewritten from scratch without understanding what the other
code was trying to do."
