Hi,
We have been running AMoRe on our SGI personal Iris and SGI Indigo for some
time without any problems.
On our newly bought SGI Indy, things turn out different.
No matter what we try, an error message:
ALERT:sh[26215] - out of logical swap space during exec
pops up on the screen.
Currently we have:
> swap -l
lswap path dev pri swaplo blocks free maxswap vswap
2 /.swap.virtual
128,16 2 0 0 0 0 80000
1 /dev/swap
128,17 0 0 81872 81872 81872 0
> swap -s
total: 0.00k allocated + 26.79m add'l reserved = 26.79m bytes used, 145.25m bytes available
The advised extra 10 mega of swap according to the man pages don't cure
this problem, neighter does adding 25 mega of extra swap, neighter does
putting the swap 'off' via chkconfig.
Why does Amore want to use swap? Is 96 mega of RAM not sufficient??? He even
seems to want more than 145 megs, if you include the swap spaces.
Is our problem hardware or software related?
Any help would really be appreciated.
Greetings,
ps: Amore is the only program until now which delivers us these problems.
