Can I install Irix 6.1 on a indigo 2?
specs:
150 Mhz
160 RAM
1 Gb HD

NO. 

If you examine the FAQ, http://www-viz.tamu.edu/~sgi-faq/
and go down to question 11 of the hardware FAQ,
"What OS versions are supported on which platforms",
you will see that IRIX 6.1 was supported only on the
Power Indigo^2, and the Power Challenge/ Onyx L and XL series.

The 'Power' prefix denotes R8000 CPU. You didn't indicate which
CPU you have, but the R8000 wasn't offered at 150 MHz -- only at
75 MHz and 90 MHz -- so we can deduce that you have an R4400SC IP22
Indigo^2.
