IRIX Emulation?

Hi All,

I am currently getting access to an Indigo with Irix 5.2 on an occasional
basis. However, I would like to speed up the learning curve a bit by using
my systems at home. Is there a sharewrae/freeware package that would emulate
(or at least be similar to) Irix and it's GUI on a 486-DX2/66 or an Amiga
(A1200 or A2000)? How similar is Irix to Unix? Would Linux on either of the
above systems be a step in the right direction? Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Glen,
The IRIX GUI: Indigo Magic is proprietary. So it probably isn't going to
be easy to learn outside of using an SGI. On the other hand, it is
similar to most GUIs and isn't very difficult to learn.
