/usr/sbin/rcsfreeze seems to contain a bug where it tries to execute "rcs", but the bin directory is not included in the path set by the script (/usr/sbin). One possible workaround is to place a symlink: /usr/local/bin/rcs -> /usr/sbin/rcs This bug appears to be present in IRIX 4.0.1 and 4.0.5A/F ACAS

Right you are. This is fixed in the next major release, by changing the PATH setting in rcsfreeze to include /usr/sbin. -- I won't rest till it's the best ...
