I have written a Motif application on the IRIS which uses Display Postscript
to draw text into an X pixmap.  I then transfer the contents of this pixmap
to a GLX widget.  I want to use the shape extension so that the background
of the text/GLX widget is transparent.  I am using XShapeCombineMask to 
to set the mask pixmap of the GLX window but it does not seem to have any
effect.

Is the GLX widget compatible with the shape extension?  Is there any
sample code available?
