motif and pipes

Hi all;
  Ihave 2 questions which I hope will not be that hard to answer.

1. How do I attach a callback functon to the close button of a dialog win?

  ie XtAddCallback (dialog, XmN..., myfunction, NULL)

what goes in the ...?

2. I have a forground Motif application which must launch and establish
2-way communcation with a non-graphic background application. I have the
source for both and thus can make any modifications necessary.
My man pages have holes where socket, pipe and socketpair are supposed to be.
A code fragment showing both sides of the pipes would be highly appreciated.

--thanks in advance, steve
.

   That depends on the type of dialog widget that your using. If it happens
to be an XmMessageDialog ( or some variation ) then you might check out the
XmNokCallback.

   I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but if you're for a
simple solution, you might check out an IRIX arena. Check out the man page
for 'arena'.
