Maybe. Maybe.
| I have heard that the system boot disk for some Indogoes is a
| Seagate ST1280N. I have called Seagate to get specs about it...

| have asked about the ST1480N... ahhh! they had plenty about it!
| (info that is!). Could anyone tell me the specs about that drive?
The 1480 and 1280 are identicaly, except for the number of platters.
| Would it still be possible to put such a drive in a Macintosh? (It
| is possible to put an ST1480N in it)? Would I be able to put a
| Quantum LPS210 in the Indigo?
Maybe. Maybe.
The problem with moving drives to the Mac is that many models
of Mac (all but the most recent?) don't handle unit attention
properly on power up or after SCSI bus reset.
Conversely, many drives for the Mac have rather poor SCSI implementations.
The Quantum drive will probably work, but there are no guarantees.
