: Maybe. Maybe.

Here's a list of what Mac drives doe not function with 4.01 on an Indigo:

	o Micronet 650MB Erasable Optical

	o Syquest 44MB Removable.

o 9 out of 10 Quantum SCSI Drives. (They're sporadic.)

: Maybe. Maybe.

: The problem with moving drives to the Mac is that many models

Yep... I'll go along with that... MAC SCSI is really
weird... PC SCSI is a nightmare... Reference Jargon, "Waving a dead
chicken." when dealing with MAC SCSI...

: Conversely, many drives for the Mac have rather poor SCSI implementations.
: The Quantum drive will probably work, but there are no guarantees.

It may appear to work, but exercise it first... I learned the
hard way when 80MB of stuff got blown away because the drive went
crazy, so I umount'ed it, fsck'ed it, and botched it pretty badly.

The Quantum is now living happily ever after on my IIfx. Not
one problem on the Mac... SCSI Voodoo. (I hear through the grapevine
that if you click your heals 3 times with your left foot in and your
right foot out the problems often go away, ;-)
