Having a problem booting my 4D/20. One day, on startup it came up with the error listed below. It's a 12Mhz, 12M RAM, 380M hard drive (Micropolis), old GR1.1 run of the mill machine. The fault is pretty immediate and shows up on console terminal (not screen). Would appreciate info on what this is, how to fix it, or where/how much it would cost to get it serviced. Tried the trivial... reseating SIMMS, checking for heat producing chips, reseating boards, shortening the SCSI path to the minimal (had a QIC150 on it) without luck. Console DUART test passed Memory walking bit test Exception at: BIC02724 Cause:0000401C Status: 00580000 Bad Vaddr: FFFFFFF7 Parity Err: 000000AA LIOStatus: 00000009 ErrorAddr: AAAAAAA8 Occasionally I would get (in addition, and first): Address: A0000000 Expected: FFFFFFFE Received: 55555555 and Cause would be 3000401C Thad Starner Assoc. Something is *seriously* wrong with your memory, or the data path
to it. If you have more than one bank, try using only one bank,
switching SIMMs one at a time to find the bad SIMM. If you only
have one bank, you probably need to call the hotline.
