curorigin error

I have a program which defines a couple different cursors and switches
between them using GL. Under 4.0.1 things work fine. Under 4.0.5 a user
reports seeing:

ERROR #57  curorigin: ERR_CURSORNOTFOUND

My program does not call curorigin(), it merely uses the default when
defcursor() gets called.

I'd appreciate any information the net might have about this.
(all I have is 4.0.1, without 4.0.5 I'm having a tough time determining what's
 going on)

PS: also under 4.0.1, is it expected for sscanf() to break the context of
    strtok()? It sure looks like this is happening in another program I'm
    helping maintain.
