I'd like to set up a local news forum as well as be able to read
news like comp.sys.sgi.  I've ftp'ed cnews, nntp and nr from ftp.uu.net
but cnews doesn't want to compile very smoothly.

I'd like to know, before I attempt full scale ports, am I on the
right track here?  Has anyone done this before? etc, etc. I really
have no special love for source code; how about some SGI binaries?
