adding objects to an program's address

Hi,
Thanks for you all the information.
I fixed the problem.

And now I have another problem
related to dynamic linking.
Sun supports operations for adding
shared objects to an program's address
space. Does SGI support that?
(Are those ldfcn used for this purpose?)

thanks,
Ivan

If you think about doing dynamic linking, get dl from
ftp.cwi.nl. It is a really neat package. (For IRIX only)

Theres a public domain library for dynamic loading called dl.
The current version is 1.5 I believe.

Archie says:

Host buizerd.cwi.nl

    Location: /pub
           FILE -rw-rw-r-- 30423 Sep 24 15:26 dl-1.5.tar.Z

By the way, I tried to compile this latest version and had some
problems. (possibly 4.05 changes to the compiler?)
but havent had much time to spend on it.
If anyone gets it going, please let me know.
