My SunShack picture galleries have some an array of pics of the older
hardware (loosely grouped at the moment). http://www.sunshack.org/gallery2
is the main URL.

There are some companies that make Sparc-based notebook and laptop systems.
Tadpole used to make them (but I think they got swallowed by a company
making x86 systems), and there is BlueSky in Europe who make portable Sparc
servers as well as notebooks/laptops.

The later Sun-4m systems will run Solaris 9 (SunOS 5.9). That means the
Sparcstation 4, 5, 10 and 20. I think Sun dropped support for the Sparc
Classic (LC) and LX after Solaris 8 (aka SunOS 5.8). Solaris 10 (aka SunOS
5.10) dropped all support for the pre-Ultrasparc systems.

This workstation is an SB1000 and yes they're very big and heavy but are
excellent platforms.

The size and weight of a pizza-box system would make it hard to carry on a
plane as carry-on luggage. The only really small Sparc systems are the Sparc
IPC, IPX, LC and LX, but they're all many years out of production and none
of them run Solaris 10.

Regards,

Craig.
