about 2 weeks ago i have asked for opinions to backup the nvram with a 4.5 V
battery. Obviously, there have been some very interesting responses.
Unfortunately, i have missed sevweral of the, seemingly the most interesting
ones, since i am not reading this group frequently enough compared to the
deletion frequency of my news feed.

I'd be very pleased if someone was so kind to send me a summary of the responses
or (if he/she has and it would be less effort) just the responses from an
archive by email.
