I have a Ricoh RO-5030E2 magneto-optical drive that I would like to attach to an SS20 running Solaris 2.4. I was rather hoping that the OS would recognize it and treat it like a disk drive. Whilst probe-scsi sees it and reports `Removable Device type 7' (which didn't look too hopful to me), the disk configuration program doesn't see it and hence I don't have any rdsk device for it. Does anyone know how I can convince Solaris to talk to this drive? -- Peter Jeremy (VK2PJ) peter.jeremy@alcatel.com.au Alcatel Australia Limited 41 Mandible St Phone: +61 2 690 5019 ALEXANDRIA NSW 2015 Fax: +61 2 690 5247 PGP fingerprint: 2A C6 47 D1 BF 56 5A 10 CC 02 2D 89 EA 10 AA 40
