Hello all, i've just recently bought a sparcbook 2 and I would like to load solaris 1.0.1 from the tadpole cdrom. However, the directions to do so in the "Backup and Restore" section of the manual are incoherent at best and just plain wrong at worst. What I've been trying to do is: -interrupt boot to go into firmware monitor -chose the restore option -chose the cdrom -guess at the incantation required to specify the 'restore image' on the cdrom. ex. "6 0 /kernel/vmunix" "6 2 minifs" Has anyone actually been able to reinstall sunos on their sparcbook? John - ________________________________________________________________________________ John J.
