I have on one desk a MacII running AUX. I can tar on to a 3.5" floppy disk with this system. (this is an older mac II so it does a mx of 800 K on a disk) I have on another desk a Sparc Station running SunOS 4+. I can tar on to a 3.5" floppy disk with this system. I have not been able to get either systems to accept the other's tar'ed disks... even when I tell the sun to do it at 800K.. Has anyone succeeded in this endeavor? If so, what are the secret incantations that must be muttered??? please reply directly to me (dberry@cs.technion.ac.il or dberry@sei.cmu.edu) Thanks Dan
