Is there a Cray in Israel?

I recently heard a rumor that the University of Haifa (in Israel) recently
obtained a Cray Supercomputer. I could not find any confirmation for this
in
the media (Wall Street Journal, etc). Was the source of this story
misinformed? Did this university get a supercomputer, but from a different
company? Any clarification or refutation of this issue would be appreciated.

As I recall, the University did want a Cray, but the State Department (or
whoever is in charge of such things) blocked it; they ended up getting
one or two Meiko machines (i860+sparc+transputer massively parallel) from
Meiko U.K. I think that Cray was annoyed. Don't recall exactly where
this was published, you should look at some of the trade rags. I might be
able to track it down if people are interested.

Of course, my facts could be all wrong.
