I was wondering, has anyone out there tried anything that uses direct memory accesses? Here's what I want to do: I want to be able to have a variable in lisp that will be modified by an external (meaning outside of the lisp processor) source (in this case, the Odyssey DSP). I've gotten as far as figuring out that you need to wire in the object and you can get the nubus address..from some function whose name i can't recall.. i was piddling around with this the other day, and managed to screw things up enough to require a reboot (it wasn't really serious, but kermit didn't work right and that's about all i've been using lately). i think i modified an address instead of the value (i tried changing the value of kermit:*image*) Anyway, if anyone can give me some pointers (pun not intended :) as to what to do here, I'd appreciate it..
