RPC calls between the MX and the MAC II host

Has anybody implemented a server-client pair where callrpc is executed
by both processes/processors? For example: a Lisp program running on
the MX, launches a MAC II application as an RPC server but the MAC
server also makes RPC calls to the LISP program on the MX (i.e. also
uses the MX as a server; even though it is the client of the MAC II
server). The RPC examples HOOKS, REGISTER, and CALL, don't seem to
cover this case.
