I am thinking of buying an operating system for our existing transputer boxes (TRAMS in B012 or MCP1000), which have been programmed up to now in INMOS ANSI C. I am specifically interested in real time operating systems. I would like to survey the products available now, particularly from the user's point of view. Are they reasonably solidly built, or still a little bug-ridden? What facilities do they have for debugging, and for running on special purpose transputer modules (eg. frame grabbers). How easy to learn and use are they? Any information would be gratefully received, Rupert Curwen ================================================================== Rupert Curwen Phone: +44 (0)865 273 926 Robotics Research Group Fax: +44 (0)865 273 908 Dept Engineering Science Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3PJ Email: rupert@robots.ox.ac.uk -- Rupert Curwen Phone: +44 (0)865 273 926 Robotics Research Group Fax: +44 (0)865 273 908 Dept Engineering Science Parks Road, Oxford OX1 3PJ Email: rupert@robots.ox.ac.uk
