I am trying to determine the optimal number of transputers to use to solve
a global optimization problem and was wondering:

	1) How fast is a REAL32 multiplication?
	2) What is the time required to send a message? Lets say the message has
1, 10, or 100 32 bit real numbers in it.

        Thanks in advance.

Any answers or pointers to an FAQ repository will be appreciated.
