Perihelion Software Ltd. is currently beta testing a Berkely Fast File system
server for Helios. The server currently supports the Parsytec and Transtech
SCSI boards, and the M212 (where is the M222?) though I suspect there is
interest in porting to additional boards. The server manages caching, and
implements a standard file system with the BSD file naming conventions.

As a result of the distributed nature of Helios, one can make use of multiple
SCSI interfaces in a network of transputers, though there is currently no
support for creating the appearance of a single distributed file system
(how do other people do this?). MIMD Systems will soon be performing the
initial development required to develop a distributed fault-tolerant file
system from arrays of SCSI boards.
