Dear transputer experts:

I am planning to buy a transputer kit for IBM/PC with supporting
softwares. The kit will mainly be used to get some experiences with
parallel programming in a message based multiprocessor system. This
kit will also be used in a parallel programming course for a small
project. As I am not so familiar with the transputer development
systems, I would appreciate any comments and advices on selecting the
configuration for my purpose. Of course, there is a strict limit on
budget, so the whole package should be in the resonable price range.
( < 5000 US$)

I will appreciate any information about :

-. the optimal and/or reasonable configuration within the budget.
-. distributors of transputer systems in U.S.
-. OCCAM user groups, and how to join them.

Thanks a lot in advance.
