Hello Netters!
Here is a question for *REAL* hardware buffs...
I have an application in which communication from a T414 transputer to a
C011 link adapter could be suspect, so the transputer link must be
programmed in a fault tolerant way using the reinit library's
OutputOrFail.t, Reinitialise, etc.
If I deliberately fail the system by pulling off the link to the C011, I
find that communication can be re-establised on one transputer system we
have here, but not for another one of identical circuit design.
The layout of the two boards is different, but since they both function
perfectly well with 'ordinary' occam programs, I can't see a problem
here.
The other difference is that the board that can restart has a T414
transputer marked as:
(M) inmos B
IMST414B-G17S
8729
NMN02K
UK
...while the board that can't restart has XREL written in pink writing
on it and a transputer marked...
(M) INMOS B
IMST414BG
PRE QUAL
8617
F203
N6346HY
MADE IN U.K.
The network tester reports that it is a 15MHz device, even though it
doesn't say so in the markings.
Does anyone out there know of any differences between these two devices
which makes the second one less able to restartB ? Thanks in advance...
