In 3L-C, can the to86/from86 routines be used without having afserver running? Secondly, is there a version of afserver that can run under Windows 3.1? Thanx! -- Scott Galuska Dept. of Computer & Info. Science "There's no crying in baseball!" Univ of Delaware galuska@asel.udel.edu

Think about what you are asking! How can the host possibly respond to transputer requests unless there a server running or at least a TSR. > >Secondly, is there a version of afserver that can run under Windows 3.1? > >Thanx! >-- >Scott Galuska >Dept. of Computer & Info. All transputer-code using pc-resources requires activites from the pc and
therefore a running afserver. The library call to the to86/from86 routine
will send a message via the link to the pc-link-interface. Software on the
pc have to read this message, decode it, and perform some action.
Maybe there is an a equivalent tsr-program available, but I never heared
about something like this. But in this case you'll need a Link-Interface
which supports interrupts to activate the tsr-routine (e.g B008 compatible).

I've heard about some product from a german vendor, by don't know the name.
If you are interested, I'll search it and mail you the address.
Hope this helps,
Karsten
