Meiko and X11. Error: couldn't find per display information

Hi,
   I have two X11 programs which I use constantly on the sun to interact
with a simulator which runs on a Meiko Computing Surface. On the suns
these X11 packages work perfectly. When I try running these packages on
the Meiko I get the following error message:

Error: Couldn't find per display information
[proc0`t8pdistgfx] register dump at iptr 0x80048112 (0x3061e) wptr
0x800c9cc1 (0x16d55) (address error)

The error occurs while processing the first event in XtAppMainLoop().

I get this with both applications. They are all written using X
Intrinsics and athena widgets. The code has run on the suns through
X11R3 to X11R5 so I think it is all right. It also used to run fine on
the Meiko up until CStools version 1.15 I think. We are currently on
version 1.17.

Has anyone else had any problems similar to this?
