Inmos Transputers. Need Help

Hi outside there,

I need a little help. Perhaps somebody can help me with my problem.

I'm programming a tranport-protocol on a T805 and want to use the
asm directive 'CRCWORD' for error recovery.

The problem is, that I don't know how it works and what kind
of parameters this directive want in the registers or on the stack.

I included following lines in my c-source-code :

ptr = (unsigned int *)&header;
for(i=0;i<sizeof(Header);i++)
   sum += ptr[i];

__asm {
   ld sum;	# the sum where the crc should be calculated
   crcword;
   st sum;	# this should be the crc
}

BUT: it seems. that nothing happens. The Value before 'CRCWORD'
     is the same as behind.

Does somebody know how it works?

Regards
