That request covers a lot of ground. Could you be a bit more specific? Exactly
what do you need to know? For what purpose? In how much depth? Unisys
publishes two complete reference manuals on the topic, one on A-Series
architecture in general and one on the specifics of the A10, so it would be
helpful to narrow the request a bit before I try to explain. That done, I will
be glad to try to give some information on the software, and on the
architecture from a software point of view. As for the hardware, well, I'm a
programmer (programmers don't change light bulbs, that's a hardware problem).

The A10 is one of the successors to the Burrough B6700. The latter was well
described in Elliot Organick's book _Computer System Architecture: The B6700
Family_ (title may be slightly different), published by Academic Press as part
of an ACM series; it was still listed in the ACM publications catalog the last
time I looked. Though 20 years old, it is still an excellent introduction to
the basic architecture. If you can find a copy, I'd recommend that as the
starting point.
