Maybe some screening on which sys groups woulda helped, but you asked here
so we'll be happy to help you.

Hmm, I'm not exactly sure by what you mean by 'kernel' on my machine.

Nope, no rstatd. No /usr/etc nor /etc either, for that matter. I do have a
{dsk}<lispfiles> if that might help you.

Yup, we've got an rpc library. It lives in the LispUsers directory,
generally. Those people who've got the NFS option probably have
RPC in {dsk}<lispfiles>nfs>, though it could also live on a file server
somewhere. In our case it lives in {caspian:lair:ohio-state}<medley-1.2>nfs>.

I assume you meant to do this in an Interlisp exec, since that's where
all the OS-related functions generally live. I get an error, 'nm is an
undefined function', and I assume you really meant to balance the |'s.

Xerox made the computer, it's model 1186. The operating system is called
Medley, it's sold by a company called Venue. I tried this under release
Medley 1.2, but if you'd like I can try it under Lyric and Koto too. I can
also try the stuff on an 1108 or an 1109, but doubt it'll make any
difference since they're binary-compatible.

Unless they're in Interlisp-D or Common Lisp I don't see that they would
be very usefull for us. If you'd like you can send them to me anyway and
I'll send you back all the errors loading or compiling them generates. Just
tell me which hardware/OSversion you'd like me to test them out on.

Ah, here we see the problem. You've violated two of the cardinal rules of
posting, namely
1) posting to a newsgroup that you know nothing about
2) telling folks to reply by email since you don't monitor the newsgroup.

Thanks for the amusement though, this group has been kinda quiet of late.
