We have 8090 servers which talk to a Vax using XNS. We are having some problems and I have a Sniffer trace of the interaction. I need to get my hands on the PEP and SPP specs so I can understand the codes, packet breakdown, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe an anonymous ftp site ???? I believe the main number is 415.813.7800. Ask to speak to Fonda Pallone -- a year ago she used to handle Xerox's protocol spec gray books. If she is no longer there, ask to speak to someone with the Xerox Systems Institute which is the entity that Fonda worked for. -------------- Milton Howard Phone: 408.473.8596 Novell San Jose Development Center Fax: 408.473.8990 2180 Fortune Dr, San Jose, California 95131 Net: mhoward@novell.COM

It has both the PEP and SPP stuff in it. If you need to decode SPP parameter negotiation dialogue, then you'll also need the book entitled, "Sequenced Packet Protocol, Connection Parameter Negotiation". -------------- Milton Howard Phone: 408.473.8596 Novell San Jose Development Center Fax: 408.473.8990 2180 Fortune Dr, San Jose, California 95131 Net: mhoward@novell.COM
