Hi All,

I was quite surprised to see a newsgroup set aside for the
zenith-z100s. Maybe someone out there can help me.

My dad has one of the `original' Clarkson Z-100s. Actually, it was my
brother's machine, but my dad inherited it. :-) Anyway, he has since
upgraded to an IBM clone and no longer has a use for it. It's not IBM
compatible, and I'm not sure if it can become somewhat compatible. I
know Zenith used to be able them to a somewhat compatible but not
totally compatible machine. Well, that was never done, so now we have
all this equipment and don't know what we can do with it. He would
like to sell the whole thing, but we haven't got a clue to value.

Here's what he has:

8088/8085 processors
2 5/14 floppys
760K Memory,
Monochrome monitor,
DOS,
CPM,
Multi-Plan Spread sheet program,
MScript word processing program,
Basic,
FORTRAN and Pascal Compilers.

The machine runs fine. As I mentioned, he would like to sell it and
was considering $200. Any opinions on this price, or suggestions as
to maybe donating the machine to someplace.

Thanks in advance,

Ingrid
