We are a university facility and are trying to improve our present MSDOS compatible setup. We are presently using twenty-five Zenith MSDOS compatibles which are remote booting from Digital Equipment Corporation's PathWorks for DOS; they all have ethernet cards. All applications are executed from the fileserver. Our improved setup will need remote boot capability, ability to execute applications from a fileserver, and the ability to print to various printers. A laser printer will have a debit card mechanism attached, so the ability for a individual to control their print request is essential. Has anyone done a comparison between Novell and DEC's PathWorks? Any help would be appreciated. James Yee Univeristy of Houston, Academic Systems Internet: jwy@uh.edu Voice: (713) 743-1573
