Is there anything to beef up an 'ole Z-183 laptop?

Greetings,

I've inherited at work an old xt class Z-183 dual floppy (720k) laptop.
For my running around and testing ethernet for basic connection tests or
talking to asynch interfaces on 10baseT hubs its done real well. Still,
there's things like running Beholder to monitor my subnet which I'd like
to do without it crashing during traffic. So does anyone know of a
surplus or gray market for:

	- cpu upgrade or '286 mother board/piggy-back cpu daughter card
	- hard drive internal preferred but at this stage even external
	- trade-in programs for a new laptop at reduced price.

Thanks
