Sorry if this may be a little vague, but I am trying to help someone that has a 386sx portable & I do not know much about the system ... I tried looking in the books I was shown, but I could not find any references to disabling the disk cache ... Essentially we are experiencing many disk failures & I would like to run spinrite/optune & see how much better things got ... but they both complain about the cahing ...
