 Yes, it is a rumor.   Your problem is the Supesport hardware problem.
 
 The hard drive ribbon cable connector and the motherboard's connector are
 made of 2 different metals, thus the problem with conductivity.
 Zenith knows about this problem and has made available to dealers only, a
 "glue" or a gel that will cure the conductivity problem.  See a Zenith
 dealer for this.   Rocco
