David,

In a technical sense, what you need is a floppy controller that can transfer
data at 500kbs (vs 250 which is what you now have). Such a controller is
the CompatiCard from Micro Solutions in Dekalb Ill., or a Bridge File controller
made by Sysgen. You will have to add this controller as a second floppy
controller, so you'll need an extra open slot. You can buy a package
from both Micro Solutions and Sysgen that has the controller and a properly
matched floppy drive. These are available as internal or external units.

Call Henry Fale at Quickdata (414) 452-4172. He can tell you exactly what
will and will not work, and can sell you a good product. His prices are
excellent (try comparing his to what you see in Computer Shopper or other
mags).

I've used both. Each is a good product. Micro Solutions technical support
is much better. If you've got other questions, I'd be happy to try to
help.
