Hi, y'all. I'm thinking about buying a slightly used laptop of the above type... any advice, comments on it? I've beeno offered on for under $250, which is about all I can afford. I intend to haul it around to my classes to take notes with, and use a desktop system for mass storage. Thom v

I have one of the ZL-2 machines. Have you seen it yet? The display is not totally "conventional" in appearance but I like mine quite a bit - use it for the same thing you state and rapidly portable modem unit. Getting 2" floppies is a real pain sometimes for the price of them but it's a good little solid machine. My advice is try it out before you purchase. Also, if you're handy or if you know someone locally who is, the memory can be expanded to 2 megs by adding a 1 meg SIP. I managed to copy an article here some time ago and just came across it again, tells how to do it. I like the Zenith keyboard a lot too. <disclaimer> I work for no one at all.
