Just want to thank those who posted replys to my cry for help.
My 5620 is working - it was the 7-8 bit thing.
Thanks! Are there any sources for other software which
takes advantage o this terminal?

AT&T's DMD host support (core, software development, and text+graphics) packages may still be available from AT&T software licensing. BSD layers support is available from UCSD, also at one time at least from AT&T Teletype (NCR?). The AT&T UNIX System ToolChest has some additional DMD (also MTG) software including a couple of nifty standalone games, but also DMD support is included in the algorithm animation package and some of the others. The "dmd-pgmg" package includes Dave Prosser's "myx" replacement terminal emulator which was a big hit here. The S system for interactive data analysis and graphics, licensed via AT&T, includes interactive support for DMD and MTG (among zillions of other, generally less interactive, graphics devices). I have a few small DMD/MTG utilities including my own implementation of "crabs", "eyes" (inspired by "xeyes"), and "swarm" (inspired by "sperm"), which are totally useless, and "dmdp" which is useful for driving an attached printer. Other DMD/MTG users may have other code they'd contribute for the asking. Generally you'll need the DMD software development system to build DMD applications.
