Help! How Can I Run 'layers' on 730 Terminal from Home?

I don't regularly read this group so I apologize if this has been asked before. I just brought home an AT&T 730 terminal. I was able to connect to my host in the main window. But when I tried to run layers so I could have multiple windows, the screen just locked up. Since I know almost nothing about layers, I'm turning to the net for help. Does anyone know what I should do to get layers to work? I'm logging in at 9600 baud via Datakit. I invoke layers with the following small script: TERM=730 DMD=/usr/att/630 DMD630=/usr/att/630 EXINIT='set ai window=60 number nomesg' export TERM DMD DMD630 EXINIT layers -f .lay My ".lay" file contains four lines of the form: X X X X ksh where 'X' is a window corrdinate. Is there something I should include or is there a different way to invoke layers that would let me have multiple windows? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
