Regarding VT320 emulation for AIX and Unix:

 ....

The person who asked the original question has not provided much
detail of exactly what capabilities are needed, other than that the
VT320 emulation is supposed to run under IBM's AIX variant of Unix.

It is quite possible that the application does not require any of the
specialized capabilities found only in the DEC VT320 terminal; perhaps
an emulation of the earlier VT220 would suffice.

Possibly T.E. Dickey's VT220-emulating new "xterm" would do the job:

    http://www.clark.net/pub/dickey/xterm/xterm.html

(This xterm also can do ISO 6429 color.)

Furthermore, there are some commercial products that claim to emulate a
VT320 and are advertised as running under AIX, as well as other versions
of Unix. Here is a partial list:

   FacetTerm http://www.facetcorp.com/ft_overview.html

   IsoTerm http://www.bg.com/isoterm.html

   Cleo A+ http://www.intface.com/Datasheets/aplus.htm

For a commercial application environment, one of the above might be best.

(For those who have not found it, all the video-terminal lore I have
collected over many years is available on the web, from this base page:

    http://www.cs.utk.edu/~shuford/terminal_index.html

On the DEC page, there is a link to a Postscript file prepared by a DEC
employee showing how each generation of terminals executed a superset
of features of the previous generation and when new features were
 introduced.)
