Is there a method of getting Microsoft RTF text into Frame or Interleaf? I looked at the filters available on-line, but didn't see anything appropriate. Thank in advance, Bill

When I tried them (I do not have a MS/RTF file to try them on), I did not get a filter password error, which means the filters are probably available to the lowest level license. You have to use Custom->Misc->Filter Setup to get a list of filters. Just because a filter is on teh lsit does not mean you have a license for it, but there aren't too many (mostly the Interleaf to.. ones) that aren't available. Interleaf 5.3 even has postscript to Interleaf and HPGL to Interleaf. That was nice of them. If you have any questions on how to access the filters (as a user, not as a SysManager), let me know. deb (djg@genrad.com)

Interleaf 5.3 has two import and one export filter for RTF files. The import filters are for: Version 4 of Word (this is also the best one to use for Mac Word) Later versions (which covers Word for Windows and such) The output filter is all-purpose. You can even do a round trip (interleaf to Word to Interleaf) and maintain all the formatting. See the File Formats and File conversions book for Interleaf 5.3. Fred Rowland Little Falls Site
